There are many unknown places that need to be recognized for their beauty around the world. Knowing these areas might help with the overtourism problem being seen. In this blog, I will name a few of the different not so popular areas of the world. Let the discovering begin!
First place is in Blagaj, in the village of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This destination is situated in Greece.
At this beautiful location, is a religious destination named Dervish House. There are some caves surrounding the house. The building has two stories and has a very antique ambiance. Below the house is the river that has a very turquoise colour. It is a good destination to visit for historical purposes but also the very spiritual and calm feeling of the area.
This is a historical place for the population. The Dervish House is on top of the Buna spring waters. The source of the Buna river comes from a cave that’s nearby. This religious place was used for prayers mainly. It was founded in the 16th century. The house was constructed for the Dervishes people to go and pray. Around the 19th century, the Dervish House used for travellers that came there and they were accommodated.A nice place for them to stay and recuperate.
The second place is a town located in Spain. It is called Setenil de las Bodegas.
This place is known for houses being built into cliffs surrounding them. It is alongside a narrow and long river gorge. On the top there is an old castle which allows you to see the view of the town. In these houses there are around 3000 habitants living there basically under a rock! There is a reason why some people decide to live here, it is more for practical reasons. These rock walls or caves are an ideal living space in Setenil. Since it keeps out the heat during the summer and the cold in the winter. They don’t need a systems or machines to do that, the natural caves will do the job for them.
The third place is an island situated in Mexico called Marieta Islands’.’
Marieta Islands is a group of small islands. No one lives on these islands, but you can still visit them. These islands are like a secret hidden beach. There is a huge gap in the heart of the land that leads deep down to a pool of water and a beach. The water is a turquoise colour and has white sand surrounding. It is a very unique looking area. To get to the island, the travellers need to go by boat. It is a nice trip for those who love tropical islands and vacations.
All these hidden secrets on this planet. These three destinations were only the beginning. There are far more areas around the world that have unique features and that are not as known. Being aware of these places helps travellers discover new locations but also making them visit uncrowded destinations. Also for the tourism industry, it helps with overtourism. To market these hidden secrets to help spread the variety of tourists and places.
